Thanks to Island Savings Gift Programs and the Cowichan Seniors Community Foundations, Big Brothers Big Sisters o fthe Cowichan  Valley is able to provide a new program for  Seniors for Kids.  Seniors for Kids is an In School Mentoring Program where seniors spend on hour per week with a child who is considered at risk and attends one of our partnership schools. Each week the matched senior and child participate in activities they both enjoy for the duration of a school year.  Fun comes in all forms such as coloring, baking cookies, particpating in arts and crafts, reading books, blowing bubbles, playing board games and learning new things together. The program is ongoing and interested volunteers can apply at any time. Please contact our office today and learn how one  hour per week can make a difference to you and a child in our community.
